- Strengthen the connections between schools and colleges to foster interdisciplinary technological engineering talents in optical, mechanical, and electronic engineering as well as precision machinery.
- Establish a work environment open to diverse values to enable teachers to bring their strengths into full play.
- Establish a flagship college of smart machinery in response to the crucial development policies in Taiwan.
- Engage in local revitalization and assist in enhancing local knowledge as well as technological power, in order to promote local features, attract industries to the region, and encourage population return.
